Murfatlar 12

The inscription M 12 was incised to the right of the entrance of church B1 and consists of 11 signs. A facsimile of the inscription was first published by D. Bogdan (Bogdan D. 1960). He concluded that M 12 was a Cyrillic inscription and saw in it a recorded date. His hypothesis was criticized by Comşa (Comşa M. 1964), Galabov (Galabov I. 1975) and Popkonstantinov (Popkonstantinov K. 1983, Popkonstantinov K. 1987) who confirmed that the inscription was runiform. In Beshevliev it is under number 24 (Beshevliev, V. 1977). Attempts to decipher it were made by P. Ivanov and Voynikov.
